35 years ago today, God brought an amazing little baby boy into this world. He was surrounded by a big sister, a mother and a father who loved him. Together they would raise him to know the Lord, to be compassionate, sensitive, patient, funny, loving, sneaky, humble, and truthful.
16 years ago, the Lord would bring that 18 year old into my life and pick me for him. He would teach me how to love the Lord, be compassionate, sensitive, patient, funny, loving, sneaky, humble, and truthful.
12 years ago, the Lord would bring me down the aisle to that 22 year old man and promise forever to him.
4 years ago, the Lord would make that 30 year old a daddy for the first time.
3 months ago, the Lord would make that 34 year old a daddy for the second time.
That 35 year old man is teaching those girls how to love the Lord, be compassionate, sensitive, patient, funny, loving, sneaky, humble, and truthful.
That 35 year old man is my husband, Pete.
And I thank the Lord that he breathed life into this little baby boy 35 years ago.
Happy Birthday to the person who makes me want to be a better person every day!
